Hi
I tried to use a metal protector spray on my outdoor furniture made of aluminum. I was too close the first time so I ended up overspraying which left a stain on the furniture.
So now the edge of this aluminum chair has a few spots and a little bump due to this overspray.
How can I get rid of these stains and bumps? And make it smooth and flat again.
Also there are some tiny scratches shown as white in the screenshot below, how do I fix/paint them?
Hello @AJ-DIYer
If you have some of the spray left, I propose sanding the surface of the damaged section with a 240grit sandpaper. Don't sand too deeply, your goal is to remove the bumpiness get the surface nice and flat. Please make sure to clean the surface before spraying it with the leftover paint I suggest stepping backwards and spraying the chair one more time.
Here is a handy step-by-step guide: How To Paint Window Frames (some of the techniques used are applicable to your project)
