How do I paint my Colorbond fence?

How do I paint my Colorbond fence?

Our colourbond fence is currently painted a light beige / greenish colour and I want to spray paint it white. What paint and what steps do I need to take before painting it and after spray painting it?

Re: How do I pain my colourbond fence?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @BlairL. It's marvellous to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about painting Colorbond.

The first step is to give the fence a good scrub down with a stiff bristle broom and soapy water. Then, take a Scotch-Brite 155 x 100mm Heavy Duty Scourer Pad and go over the entire surface. Flush with clean water and wait for it to dry. Once it's dry, try running your fingers over the surface to see if there is any powdery residue left on them. Continue this process until no powder is left on your fingers. Do one final wash with sugar soap before flushing the fence with clean water and waiting for it to dry. You'll then be able to use the White Knight Rust Guard Grey Quick Dry True Bite Primer Paint and when dry, your topcoat

Please let me know if you have any questions.
