Hi
I did overseed my buffalo sir Walton lawn with the Scott seeds
would you know how long it takes to see the improvements ?
Hi @oli2038,
When did you seed the area? The timing makes a big difference. As we’re only just coming into spring, it’s possible the seed has stayed dormant if temperatures have still been on the cooler side in your area. Lawn seed generally needs warmth and consistent moisture to get moving, so if it was a bit too cold when you put it down, you might not have seen much activity yet. Now that the weather is warming up, you should start to notice germination within the next few weeks.
Typically, if the temperature is favourable and you’re keeping the soil consistently damp (without letting it dry out or get waterlogged), lawn seed will begin to germinate within several days to a fortnight. Improvements in density and colour will usually become more noticeable after three to four weeks as the seedlings start filling in.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
