Hello,
I'm looking for some help for doing a DIY pedestrian gate and a small fence in the gap between my concrete wall.
I think there's a DIY kit for the fence at Bunnings but wondered if you might be able to explain what would be needed for the job? Would it also be possible to do a DIY pedestrian gate there too? Looking at aluminium/colourbond, not wood if I can avoid it.
Many thanks in advance!!
Hi @MollyT,
Can you advise what the height and width of the openings are?
This will help us give you more specific product advice.
We have a variety of aluminium screening that would be suitable for the opening between the two pillars.
There is also a variety of gates from our supplier ProtectorAl Aluminium Screening that should work. They can be ordered to suit the width of the opening.
To install the gate, you would need to bolt a post, like this ProtectorAl Black Aluminium Post to the concrete pillar to mount the post to, so the width of this post would need to be considered when ordering a gate to fit the opening.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Jacob
Hi Jacob,
Thank you for your very helpful answer!
I did a quick measure and the space for the pedestrian gate is 99cm wide, 133cm high. The fence space is 17cm wide and 74cm high. Do you think I would be able to have these both made to order? I assume I can do this in store?
Thanks again!
Hello @MollyT
The good news is that yes, you can order the panels that Jacob suggested in custom size. My best advice is to double check your measurements and speaking to the special orders team about which style you would like to use.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
