How to add trellis to steel fence wall?

Thinking of putting a trellis behind these two small slow-growing feijoas (pineapple guavas) and planting a silvanberry I have spare. Would rather not drill into the posts, was thinking of a timber trellis with timber warratahs behind cable-tied to rails. My local bunnings no longer stocks have the large (and easy)metal trainers (neither 1800 x 1000 nor 1900 x 600). So I thought maybe timber trellis. Sun: About 2.3 m wide of space. Gets sun from 11-evening on left side and 10 or so to 4/5 on right side. Faces almost directly north with a few degrees more towards morning sun. Clay soil so was going to create a little raised bed with plastic curved edging. Not worried it might not fruit fully as my narrow side and back garden areas don't have many full sun areas.

Re: Trellis or wire query for silvanberry or similar on north-facing steel fence wall

Hello @erikc

If you are not keen to drill into the posts, using Lattice Makers 1800 x 900mm Framed Square Lattice is an ideal alternative. Using cable ties to fix the lattice in place should prove to be less destructive than using screws. My best advice is to use as many cable ties as needed to secure the panel to the steel frame.
