I recently ordered a horizontal address sign, made is steel, powder coated. There are two small holes on each side to hang with, but my house is brick. I don't have a masonry bit. Even if I had the right equipment I don't have the strength drill into brick from a ladder. Can I adhere the house numbers with liquid nails? The kind made for masonry? I'd welcome any tips.
Hello @Daphnedaph
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your house numbers.
I propose using Selleys 350g Heavy Duty Liquid Nails. This product is rated for use both indoors and outdoors, plus it provides excellent holding power on a variety of materials. I suggest putting on a generous bead all over the metal surface. Make sure the brick wall is dust and debris free before pushing your house number to the wall. I recommend using duct tape to hold the metal numbers in place while the adhesive cures. Once the adhesive cures you can then remove the duct tape and wipe the numbers surface clean.
Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1, @AlanM52 and @Noyade for their recommendations.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Hi @Daphnedaph,
I would follow @EricL's suggestion and add this.
If you are doing this alone without assistance pre-cut strips of duct tape and stick them (just the tips) on either side so they are easy to grab while applying pressure with one hand. Then swap hands and tape down the other side.
RE: I don't have the strength drill into brick from a ladder.
You don't have to be strong to mount stuff on brick walls.
For many jobs including your sign you can drill into the mortar gap then tap in two wall plugs and screw on the sign.
Cheers
Good Morning @Daphnedaph
I know that feeling of not having strength, generally its because I have hurt myself doing something
However the outcome has been to think smarter and think workarounds.
The Glue and method that @EricL and @AlanM52 have mentioned is what I would go for as well. Howver holding in place while the glue goes off I would use a spare length of timber if you have one.
Think Long piece (2m length) and lying diagonally against your new house number sign that you have put glue on the back of. The weight of the timber should be enough to hold the number in place (Put a rag under the end so it wont accidently scratch) I would be cautious not to use too much glue as wehn you squish it to the wall for a good bond it will want to ooze like vegimite on a vitabrit
Make sure you have cleaning fluid that the glue recomends and some spare clean rags on hand.
I have also used this lean-to idea when installing something myself. Generally I use heavier wood as the lean if possible or throw some sand, dirt into a shopping bag and loop it over the timber to give it weight.
