How to Build a Perspex "Glasshouse" using the Perspex that Bunnings can supply?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @kev2. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about building a glasshouse.

What size "glasshouse" are you thinking of building? It’s worth considering that the cost of perspex panels and the materials for building the frame can quickly add up and potentially exceed the cost of a pre-fabricated greenhouse. For example, a 900 x 600 3mm thick panel costs around $40, while you could buy a Backyard Farmer Timber Locker Greenhouse for $159.

If you're looking for a custom-made solution, though, it might be a worthwhile project. I'd recommend checking out the greenhouses we already have available before committing to building one from scratch.

In terms of building your perspex glasshouse, this would be a relatively in-depth project that begins with designing the frame, then positioning structural members to fit the panels. If you let us know the size and shape you're aiming for, our members might be able to provide some guidance on how best to proceed with your build.

Thanks for the info.

I’m on the road at the moment, I’ll measure my space  when I get back home…   the space is a concrete floored shade house at the mo ..that greenhouse you showed me might fit, it looks pretty good. 

So I’ll size it up when back home and see which way to go.
