Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your questions about building an elevated deck.
I suggest having a quick look at these guides - How to build a low-level deck by @Adam_W and How to build a deck by @MitchellMc. Now these guides are are about low-level decks, but I am just showing them to you to give you an idea of what is generally involved. Please note that any elevated deck that is taller than 1 meter will need a permit from your local council. Please note that some local councils have lower deck tolerances so please make sure to check the rules and regulations before you begin planning.
Can you please tell us a little bit about your deck, how big will it be, where will it be located and what decking material did you want to use. If you can provide us with a picture of the area you are planning to build the deck, we'll try and provide some recommendations before you start planning.
