Re: low decking over concrete

Hello @mhadz

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your proposed decking project.

I suggest having a look at these guides - How to build a low-level deck by @Adam_W and How to build a deck by @MitchellMc. These guides will give you a basic idea of what to take into consideration when planing your decking frame. I suggest doing a basic measurement of the area, how big a do you imagine the deck will be? Next is vertical space, how tall can the deck be? What is the allowable space between the floor and the top rail of your sliding door.

I also suggest having a look at the Bunnings deck building guide:

I also recommend having a look at this featured project - Low-level composite deck over concrete and soil by @oninpena. It's an excellent example of a single level low-level deck.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Re: How to build low deck over concrete?

Let me also add another question to Eric's list: How thick are your concrete pavers?

You might have to consider pulling them up to give you some room for ventilation under the deck.

Welcome to the community @mhadz. We look forward to seeing your project come together and will be happy to help along the way.
