How to build subframe low-mount composite deck?

will be removing paving and clearing more sand finish level will be around 250mm. Thinking double 90x45 as bearers and 90x45 or 70x45 as joists looking at those 300mm 450mm Galvanised stirrups to rest bearers. Thinking of fixing joist framing to the limestone bricks and again at the lime stone pillar

never built or done any decking just doing home working on deck framing/footing and stuff sketched up something in photos for footing end up being 1.6m apart is this info correct or do I just leave it up to the pros 🤣🤣 wanting to buy materials least maybe get someone to construct it

any help would be much appreciated

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your deck building project.

I suggest having a quick look at these guides - How to build a low-level deck by @Adam_W and How to build a deck by @MitchellMc. These guides will help you to understand what you need to do when designing your decking frame. One of the major items to take into consideration is drainage, water must flow out of your deck to prevent moisture from getting trapped underneath. By putting weedmat and gravel to facilitate drainage the ground beneath your deck should stay nice and dry.

The next thing you need to keep in mind is the type of frame you'll be building. Will you be building a traditional frame with bearer and joist or just a single level frame. I suggest having a look at this featured project - Low-level composite deck over concrete and soil by @oninpena. It's an excellent example of a single level frame on a sloping base.

In regards to the materials you've mentioned for your deck, they can be used for the build. But I suggest building your deck as a free-standing deck with no need to anchor to the house. Before you begin, I suggest checking the rules and regulations of your local council in regards to the size of your low-level deck. It's possible that there might be size and height limitations.
