How to extend driveway?

Hi, I am looking for ideas on the most cost effective way to extend my driveway so that 2 cars can be parked on the driveway. I'm not looking at concreting the extension (blue part). The side gate is on this side of the house. Possibly putting a small garden bed on the boundary with hedging plants or conifers. Thank you.

I propose having a quick look at this discussion - How to lay down crushed rock for a car park? by @stanalive. In the discussion, I suggested using gravel and sleepers to create a parking spot. You'll also see the details of how to prepare the area before putting the gravel in.

I also recommend thinking about how much space you'll be setting aside for your plants.
