My gate is keep open wider and wider. I ask fence specialist to have a look. They said the posts are all right and we just have to change the door, it will be fixed. However, the gate is still wider and wider. I don't think changing the door is a permanent fix. Do you guys have any idea?
There are two specialists told me that they have never seen this before.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @dennislokw. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about a Colorbond fence.
I think this is a fairly clear case of the support post moving. The gate hasn't changed size, so it indicates there is movement in one of the two posts. Given the setup, I would presume the post on the left has tilted outwards to the left, causing the gap at the top of the gate on the right. I can't see installing a new gate as a fix, as to cover the addition gap, you are going to need a gate that is not rectangular, and the panel will look odd.
The posts need to have a level placed on them to tell which one is not perpendicular to the ground and plumb. That post and footer need to be dug up and reinstalled so it is plumb. However, if the whole fence on that side is slanted, you might also need to replace the panel on that side if straightening the post does not allow it to be reinstalled into the channel.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you very much.
That's what I thought. Do you think a water tank nearby is the reason to cause it slanted?
It depends on how close it is, @dennislokw. Can you share some images?
If the soil appears to have sunken between the tank and the fence, then that's a possibility. Another possibility is that insufficiently sized concrete footers were used for the posts.
Mitchell
They are actually quite close.
That could potentially be the cause, @dennislokw. Though, I would expect the post and footer closest to the tank to be visibly sunken if that was the case.
Mitchell
Oh, that's a bit good news to me.
Millions thanks for answering me in a long weekend.
Probably my plan is removing the water tank then replacing the post and the gate.
Thanks again!
suddenly, I realized there maybe a more significant problem. I found there is a crack on the ground near my house and the tank. Is my house sinking? What should I do?
I wouldn't jump to those conclusions due to the existence of one crack in the earth near the wall @dennislokw. The house would be on a slab, so it's unlikely that the rainwater tank is causing the issue. I'd suspect that it's just a random crack in the compacted soil. If you notice any significant cracks on the internal walls, then you may like to have the house assessed, but I wouldn't be overly concerned.

Thanks a lot. Hopefully, it is just because of the heat. Really thank you very much!😥
