How to fix Ekodeck to bearer?

Can you drill and lag-screw or bolt through the ekodeck boards to fix them to a bearer, instead of using the Ekodeck Quickfix system?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

They act in the exact same way as any other timber decking board does. So yes, you could drill through an Ekodeck board and attach it with a lag-screw or bolt, but it just wouldn't look as clean as the Quickfix system.

I'm intrigued by your question. What is the scenario that makes you ask? Is this choice for an aesthetic reason, or are you trying to overcome a slightly strange situation?

Thanks for your reply. I am using it to replace wooden panels in a security gate so lag-screwing will go well.
