I have an Ozito 2x18v mower and it won't shut off, have to remove the key to turn it off. Any ideas how to fix this, being aged pensioner I'm trying to avoid loading it into our car only be told by someone in the store it's an easy fix.
Hello @Blackwood9
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your Ozito mower.
There are six types of Ozito mowers that have 2x 18V batteries that are used in tandem. But they all have one distinguishing feature and that is the lock off button. This button must be pressed before pulling the start/stop lever. If the mower is permanently on its possible that something has gotten stuck on the start/stop lever bar. Try giving the bar a shake to see if the switch will loosen itself and turn the unit off.
If nothing happens and the mower is still running, I suggest removing the safety key to shut it off. It could be a combination of mechanical and electrical fault. Either way it will need to be repaired by a professional. I don't recommend taking the mower apart as this would void your warranty. If the unit is still under warranty, I suggest bringing the mower back to the store where you purchased it from along with your docket. The team can then track your purchase and process your warranty for you.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Thanks Eric, I used a rubber mallet on top of the handle near the lock off button and it worked. I also sprayed some WD40 into the gap around the button.
