How to fix hole in drain pipe?

How do i fix this hole in pipe? It had Water level/Float swicth sensor plugged, but it’s not connected to any device and also the rubber washer worn out and no longer fits in, I couldn’t find similar product nor same washer to fix it. So can you please suggest how to close this hole permanently? This pipe is in basement, connected to flexi rain water tank

Re: How do i fix this hole in drain pipe?

Hello @sathish4sree

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about your drain pipe.

Please note that any plumbing works must be carried out by a licensed plumber for safety and compliance.

I'm unaware of a product that can cover the hole in your PVC elbow. Due to its location and the way that it has been installed, I suggest engaging the services of a plumber to replace this damaged portion. Covering or plugging up the hole might be possible, but it would be impossible to tell how long the plug will last. If there was a great amount of water passing through this pipe it might push the plug off or it could damage it just enough to create a leak. With a brand-new elbow installed you won't have to worry that there will be a leak.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
