Re: patio posts and patio in need of TLC
Hi @ameliam,
It looks like some of the damage is purely cosmetic, but before tackling any of that, it’s really important to address the structural issues first—as cosmetic fixes could end up being affected or needing to be redone after structural repairs.
Posts that are rusted through at the base are a serious concern, as they may compromise the integrity of the entire patio structure. This kind of issue should be addressed as a priority, and because it involves structural work, we recommend contacting a licensed builder to assess the condition and carry out any necessary repairs.
Once the structure has been made safe and sound, you can then move on to restoring the appearance of the patio with confidence.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
