Re: How to fix the cracks in driveway

Hello @ajitesh

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your driveway.

I suggest looking at using Gripset Betta 1L Concrete Crack Filler to fill the cracks in your driveway. It is a waterproof sealer that penetrates into the depth of the crack, filling the void and sealing against moisture and water vapours.  Once dried it forms a tough flexible sealant that withstands ponding water and vehicle traffic.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Hello @EricL , thanks for the reply, appreciate it

I will go by your suggestion, btw - what could be the reason behind those cracks in driveway within an year of its inception? also do they look big and serious ?

Re: How to fix the cracks in driveway

Hi @ajitesh,

No, they do not look big and serious. Cracking in concrete happens because of expansion and contraction. Unfortunately, with large concrete masses, such as driveways, it is pretty much inevitable that they will crack.

This is why relief cuts are made in concrete. They are there to create a weakness in the concrete to control and keep the cracking in one area.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Jacob
