How to hold a piece of tile decking vertically while adhesive dries?

Hello,

I'm currently trying to update my front porch by laying down tile decking over my tiles.

But I also want to stick some tile decking vertically as fascia.

What tool should I use to hold the tile decking into place vertically while the adhesive dries? And would you recommend an adhesive (variant of liquid nails?) to use?

Thank you for your question.

Can you advise what specific tile decking you are looking to install?

Is it something like these Dekart 300 x 300 x 22mm Modular Decking Tiles?

If so, then the warranty does not cover their use in non-standard applications, such as being vertically stuck to a wall. If this is not the tile decking you are using, make sure you read and understand the instruction manual before committing to its use in this way.

If you were happy to accept this fact, then you could stick them on using Liquid Nails and prop them in place while they are setting. The adhesive will do much of the work, so the prop is just there to keep it in place while it sets.

There isn't really a great tool I can point to for propping things diagonally. I would just put something heavy on the ground just in front of the tile and wedge some timber in at an angle. Something like this 70 x 35mm 0.9m Short Pine Run Of Mill would work well.
