Hi
I am looking to get a Window Ware Crank arm awning to my weatherboard house but it is beyond my capabilities. What is the best way to find someone who is familiar with fitting them to a weatherboard house.
Thanks
RayB
Hi @RayB,
I'd suggest you consider using services such as Hipages or Airtasker to enlist the assistance of a tradesperson.
They'll likely need to install a bridging timber across your weatherboards, attaching it to the studs behind. From there, they can attach the awning to the bridging timber. With this method, the awning is attached solidly to the structural timber instead of just to the weatherboards.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
