How to install cladding over render?
Hi,
I am looking to update my house facade and want to put cladding (something like James Hardie vertical cladding) over the top of a rendered wall that contains a window. How might I go about installing it?

Re: Installing clasding over render
Hi @KBSmith,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
James Hardie are fantastic in that they have comprehensive installation guides for the vast majority of their products. You're going to want to have a look at the Axon Cladding Installation Guide, in particular pages 7 and 9, which show the method of installation for this cladding over a brick wall.
There are also architectural details on how to approach windows in the installation guide.
If you wanted to use a different cladding material, I would suggest looking for the installation guide as it will show you how to go about installing their products.
Let me know what you think and if there is anything you'd like clarified, please don't hesitate to ask.
Jacob
