How to join Kreepy Krauly hose?

I need to shorten my pool hose as it's too long. It's for a Kreepy Krauly brand VTX7.

Will this joiner work?

I propose matching it over your hose to make sure that the joiner is not bigger than the hose itself. If it is slightly smaller, it should work very well in joining your pool hose together.
