How to level these domed pavers?

We have these hideous pavers in a large section of our yard. Photo doesn't show it well but they are not flush to the ground at all and they almost go in a dome shape. What options are there for making this flatter? We want it so my son can practice basketball ...due to the angles the pavers are at it's impossible currently. Even having chairs out there is not possible as they are so unstable. We want to avoid having to get a whole concrete slab if possible. Could we do spray concrete or resurfacing if we were able to get a flat layer over the top? It's such a huge waste of space in its current form!

To make the area safer and more functional, you might consider having the pavers professionally ground flat. This process can remove the domed shape and create a more even surface, making it better suited for activities like basketball. A professional will have the right equipment to grind down the high spots, which is often less disruptive and less costly than removing or replacing the pavers entirely.

If you prefer to explore other options, you could consider using a concrete resurfacing product to create a smooth layer over the existing pavers, but this would only work if the surface is made relatively level first. Resurfacing can provide a durable, flat finish and eliminate some of the unevenness, but without grinding down the high spots, it might still retain some of the underlying slope. Taking the time to level the pavers will help make the resurfacing more effective, turning that area into a safe, functional space. However, due to re-surfacers being a rigid product, applying them over a pavers that move could result in cracking.
