How to make an outdoor cathouse?

Hey guys, Just wondering , if you were to make a cathouse out of plywood, which type of ply would you use that can handle getting wet sometimes. It will be on the deck but the gutters overflow sometimes etc and can get sideways rain on the deck. Thanks

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about building a cat house.

I suggest using 2440 x 1220mm 12mm Plywood Hardwood Marine AA Grade - 12mm. However, I still suggest painting the surface and edges so that the panel is totally sealed from the weather.

I also recommend using 42 x 19mm 1.8m DAR Pine Premium - 1.8m when joining corners together rather than screwing the panel edges together, this will prevent moisture ingress and surface lifting.

How big will the cat house be? Will you be building a second floor, or do you plan on just building a box shelter?
