How to obtain deck engineering plans?

I would like to construct my own floating deck, 6m x 3m, 400mm above ground can the community recommend an independent design engineer that can draw up plans so that I can engage a certifier to lodge a council application ? I have done the basic design above Min code requirements but I don't want to proceed without engineered plans and drawings. I have contacted a few engineering firms but they don't respond or quote crazy prices ! many thanks

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your decking plans.

I'm sorry but I'm unable to recommend an engineer for your project. However, I suggest posting your needs on Airtasker or Hipages and include as much information as you can about you are after. You can also specify that your a after a freelance engineer with experience in decking frame design and must be familiar with local council rules and regulations. The more information you put in the more likely you'll get an immediate response. My best advice is to make sure to ask for references and looking at their social media posts about past work.
