I am planning to paint a feature wall made of rough-textured stone blocks (concreate blocks) outdoors. II would love your advice on the best paint type and system to use for durability and a great finish. Could you please recommend: The most suitable paint type for this wall (in photo) Any specific brands or products available at Bunnings Tips for achieving a professional look Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @daronjohn78. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about painting a wall.
For painting an outdoor feature wall made from rough-textured concrete blocks, the best choice is an exterior-grade acrylic masonry paint. These paints are designed to handle the porosity of concrete and stone while providing durability against UV, rain, and general weathering. A great option is Dulux Weathershield, which is specifically formulated for brick, render, and concrete, or British Paints 4 Seasons Exterior, which also performs well on masonry. A matt or low-sheen finish will highlight the texture of the blocks without making imperfections stand out, leaving you with a clean, durable, and attractive feature wall.
To achieve a professional finish, start by thoroughly cleaning the wall – ideally with a pressure washer – to remove dirt, dust, and loose material. Once the wall is dry, apply two coats of your chosen paint with a long-nap roller to get into the texture, using a brush to cut in around edges and deeper grooves.
Remember to use a drop sheet to protect the floor beneath.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks so much for the detailed advice, Mitchell!
Just a quick follow-up: since the wall has never been painted before and its natural colour has faded over time (please see the attached photo), would you recommend applying a priming coat before using the masonry paint? I want to make sure the finish is long-lasting and well bonded to the surface.
Also, I really appreciate your support and would love your recommendation on the best Bunnings store around Harrisdale for selecting the final products. I’m leaning towards Dulux Weathershield or British Paints 4 Seasons Exterior, as you suggested.
Thanks again!
Provided the surface is clean and free from dust, you can apply the exterior paint directly over it as it is self-priming @daronjohn78. Scrub the wall down with a stiff-bristle brush and SugarSoap. Then rinse it down with fresh water to remove any residual SugarSoap. Once dry, you'll be right to apply the paint directly over it.
Bunnings Harrisdale is your closest store and an excellent choice. Dulux Weathershield is the premium product and for a long-lasting finish I'd be going with it.
