How to price new composite decking?

We are going to replace our brick paving under our patio with composite decking the area is 14m long x 5m wide if we purchase all materials including the decking from bunnings can anyone give me an estimate on the price?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

If you are just looking for an estimate of the cost of the decking, then you can use this handy Composite Decking Calculator & Planner from our supplier Ekodeck. You will notice that the quantity of materials can change drastically depending on the layout. Having a play with a few different layouts, you are looking at between 92-110 x 5.4m lengths of Ekodeck 137 x 23mm 5.4m Greystone Classic Grooved Composite Decking, which is roughly $7,800 - $9,400.

To build a deck, you will need to build a frame and support that frame with posts and pedestals. To give you an estimate on the framing, we would need a few more details about what you are planning to do.

The two main things I'll need to know are how much height you have to work with and which direction you want the boards to run.

If you could upload some photos of the space and draw a basic layout plan for the deck, I would be happy to draw something up and work out a rough estimate of the materials required.

Thank you so much, my son is going to do the sub floor and frame and the composite decking, as this is his first time I wanted to get some info for him.

I wondered if it would be easiest to get steel frame for the sub floor mayb in 3 pieces 5m x5m twice and 4m x 5m to make 70m2.

Can you get it that way?

Don't get me wrong my son has a plan but he also has a fulltime job and a life so I was just trying to make things easier for him
