Hi Bunnings Workshop,
Do you have any products that can be applied to moss on concrete that will naturally break it down. I don't want to use a pressure washer in this area.
Further, can you recommend any products that can be applied to the concrete to stop it in the future?
Hi @Lee777,
Thank you for your question.
This 30 Seconds Spray And Walk Away Concentrate sounds like exactly what you are after. Just spray it on and let it take effect.
Once the moss is gone, you could apply a concrete sealer to the surface of the concrete. This will prevent further moss buildup in the future.
Let me know what you think, and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Jacob
Thanks Jacob,
That sounds like a great product.
With the concrete sealer, are there any that provide better protection for moss etc, or sealers are sealers.....
Hi @Lee777,
You'll want to use a surface sealer rather than a penetrating sealer. Surface sealers create a surface coating that the moss will struggle to cling to, whereas with penetrating sealers, the concrete would retain its porosity, which is what the moss will cling to.
I'd suggest having a look at the Cromellins DiamondCoat range. These are surface sealing products which would be perfect for this.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
Thanks Jacob,
I just pressure washed the area, how long should I wait before applying Cromellins DiamondCoat range
Thanks,
Lee
Hi @Lee777,
Did you end up using the 30 Seconds 5L Spray And Walk Away Concentrate?
Is there any grease or contamination left on the concrete?
As long as the concrete is clean and free of contaminants, in line with the recommendations in the relevant datasheet for your Diamondcoat product, then you should only need to wait until the water has dried.
If you can advise which Diamondcoat product you have, I can double-check the datasheet to see if it calls for any additional steps.
