hi, I need to re-render some parts of this wall, but I don’t know how to create this textured finish, to match the rest of the house. Perhaps it’s just done with a paint roller? Cheers, Greg
Hi @gregaldous,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
I've had a good search, and I can't find a texture that perfectly matches what you have there. The closest I could find was referred to as a "spanish lace stucco texture", which was applied with a Rendering Trowel that is essentially skipped across the surface.
Allow me to tag some of our experienced members to see if they have come across this texture before - @Nailbag, @Dave-1, @R4addZ, @Noyade.
Unfortunately, you may have to speak with an experienced renderer for their assistance if you are looking to get a perfect match.
Let me know what you think.
Jacob
Hi @gregaldous
In something like this, your best friend is Google Lens where you can search for an image. The best two matches I can see are....
https://koroseal.com/products/wallcoverings/grande/stucco
and
https://mooncoats.in/projects-item/concrete-textures/#show
But we would probably need a close up to get any closer. Then again, it may have been custom done by a good decorator.
I guess it comes down to how fussy you are about an exact match. If close enough is good enough, then those suggestions by @R4addZ might be suitable. Otherwise as @JacobZ suggested I would go down the path of a professional renderer.

Good Evening @gregaldous
It really looks like someone has use the trowlel that @JacobZ has suggested and done some rough half swipes. If you have experience then id give it a go, if its your first time (as it would be for me) I would suggest to prectice on a piece of ply or other surface that dosnt matter until you are happy at your level of expertise 🙂
