How to repair cracks in exterior rendered wall?

Hi guys,

I found there are some cracks in render wall. I do have reviewed serval posts and advises given by Mr.EricL and MR. MitchellMc, which is really helpful. But i am still a bit confused should i use Dingo Fast Set Mortar OR Polyfilla Exterior Brick and Render Masonry to fix those cracks. the picture 1 is exterior rendered wall, should i use Polyfilla Exterior Brick and Render Masonry? what about picture 2. the cracks in the cornice, still Polyfilla Exterior Brick and Render Masonry or Dingo Mortar? Under which circumstance should apply Mortar and Polyfilla?

Really appreciate if anyone can help me out.

For the guttering a clear outdoor UV stable guttering silicon is probaly best bet as you have two colors to match there please mask each side of join and clean up excess with turps.

I recommend the next product because it is good and it is white in finish so the final repair may not stand out. It is a tiny crack so with a gloved hand squeeze some on your finger use smallest amout you can you not filling the grand canyon, push the filler into the hole with you gloved finger. If need be scrap any excess flat with a bit of cardboard or scraper.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's splendid to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about repairing the cracks in your wall.

It's great that you've received excellent advice from @Jewelleryrescue. Your first picture shows the control joint or expansion joint in the wall. This is where cracks are naturally meant to appear when there is movement in the wall. To cover the hairline crack I also suggest having a look at Selleys 430g White No More Gaps Exterior Gap Filler.

In regards to the gap near your gutter it appears that there has been significant movement. If possible, I suggest inspecting the top portion of your roof to make sure that there is no significant damage in that area. Repairs might be needed in that portion as well.

However, if there is no damage, I recommend using Selleys 310g Translucent Roof And Gutter Silicone Sealant to cover up the gap near the gutter. At this point in time there is no need to use mortar as the damage is not that severe.
