How to replace garden hose tap?

Hello,

A tap handle broken so I am looked for spare handle with bunnings store but not available. So I thought to replace the faucet but while taking the screws out I found the black pipe attached from rear to the tap. After many attempts I couldn't separate the tap.

Could you please provide a solution how to fix this. Pictures attached below to show the exact situation.

The simplest and most reliable solution would be to enlist the services of a licensed plumber. They’ll be able to safely disconnect the existing tap, especially given the rear-mounted pipe connection, and install a new one for you. That would be the recommended approach if you're having trouble removing it yourself.

If you’d prefer to try a DIY workaround, one option is to reinstall the tap back onto the wall so it’s secure, then turn off your water supply and remove the spindle and washer from the tap. You can do this by loosening the hex nut on the spindle. If you purchase a new garden tap, there’s a chance you could remove the spindle from that one and screw it into your existing tap body. You might be able to just swap the spindle, or the spindle and handle together, without needing to replace the whole fitting.

That said, your current tap appears to have a slightly unique design, so I can’t guarantee that parts from a standard garden tap will fit. But it’s certainly something you could try if you’re confident giving it a go.

Appreciate that you are responding to all my job issues.

Well, I been to Bunnings three different stores and no one keeping spindle separately. In fact, my closest store is Mt. Roskill and they have taps in stock also.

I will send the photo of the spindle in case you get an idea of the size.

I'm sorry, @Ravikiran, as I might not have been clear. You would need to buy a whole new tap, remove the spindle from it, and install it into your tap. If that doesn't work, it's a job for a plumber.
