How to screen gas cylinders?

Hi everyone!

I’ve just moved into a new place (rental) and it has these two gas cylinders in the front yard which are a bit of an eyesore. I’m hoping to disguise them somehow and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? Maybe some sort of enclosure for them, or anything else I could safely put around them. I am not handy at all and don’t have the means or tools to build anything for it. If there is something ready-made and rental friendly that I could use that would be great 😊

The first step I’d recommend is reaching out to your gas supplier to confirm any restrictions they may have about enclosing the cylinders. There are often rules around keeping the area well-ventilated, limiting the number of sides enclosed, and ensuring clear access for refills or replacements.

Assuming a ventilated solution is acceptable, you might consider a freestanding screen to block the view rather than a full enclosure. Ready-made screening panels, like the merbau panels, can be a great rental-friendly option. They’re simple to install, and you can place them on three sides, leaving the front open if required. If you want something fully portable, look into using lattice screens or other lightweight materials that can be anchored with planters or decorative pots to create a stable setup without needing any tools.

These options offer flexibility and are easy to move if needed, making them ideal for a rental setting.
