When it rains, I can hear a dripping noise in the ceiling in my master bedroom. No apparent signs of leak (stains, wet patches or any other leaking) in the house. Any suggestions of what it could be and how to address it??
Hello @Anna94
You're absolutely correct in regards to seeing a wet patch on your ceiling. This is one of the giveaway signs that your roof is leaking. However, I propose engaging the services of a leak detection specialist. You can make a request and see if they can climb into your roof space and track down the leak that is occurring in your roof.
Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1 and @Nailbag for their recommendations.

Good morning @Anna94
If you have access to your roof space and enough room you could get up there for a look. Make sure you turn off the power to your house why you are climbinga round in the ceiling space as a precaution tho. Keep an eye out for drip markings in the dust, or staining on the overhead rafters. I have found that drips tend to be hard to find as the water my run down the timber supports for a fair distance before getting to the point of dripping.
Otherwise as @EricL has suggested a leak detection person would be the next step. I have had "drip" sounds turn up sometimes and I know that I should have a spot on the ceiling but they never show up, you could have insulation, beams or other stuff hanging around up there that hides the wet spots. Stay with your whole body pressure on the beams when moving around if you do go up into the space.

Hi @Anna94
My recommendation also is to engage a Leak Detection serviced as a matter of high priority. If you can hear water dripping then its potentially a substantial issue needing urgent attention.
