Outdoor kitchen using Kaboodle cabinetry

We transformed an empty outdoor space into a stunning DIY alfresco kitchen using Bunnings Kaboodle cabinetry and Prempanel timber-look wall panels. The design includes a built-in bar fridge, sleek DIY tiled benchtop, and stainless steel BBQ, perfect for entertaining. Warm feature lighting and vertical timber slats create a modern, cozy atmosphere. This project was a hands-on challenge but incredibly rewarding — we now have the ultimate outdoor area to relax with family and friends, thanks to Bunnings!

Re: Outdoor kitchen

Hi @meganp83,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

This is an absolutely stunning outdoor kitchen. The vertical batten panels look fantastic with the feature lighting.

This looks like a fantastic place for a BBQ and to watch the footy on a Friday night. I'm sure it will play a part in many wonderful times spent with family and friends.

Thank you for sharing and congratulations on a job well done.

Re: Outdoor kitchen using Kaboodle cabinetry

Hi, the bbq is from BBQs Galore - it’s the deluxe 6 burner beefmaster.

Re: Outdoor kitchen using Kaboodle cabinetry

Hi Jacqueline, the area is pretty sheltered from the weather, I did use a weather shield primer and sealer on any exposed areas of mdf/chipboard just to prevent possible moisture, we’ve also used a clear wet area silicone between the concrete slab and base cupboards/kickboards.
