Spray sealant for chimney

Looking for a quick fix for a leaking combustion fire chimney on spandeck roofing with rubber boot, with not much run off the water pools behind two runs and finds it’s way under boot,Flexseal seems popular but would prefer a name Australia is familiar with,Any ideas would be great,Krusty.

Re: spray sealant.

Hi @Krusty,

An alternative to Flexseal would be our Rust-Oleum 340g Black LeakSeal Flexible Rubber Coating Spray.

Could you post an image of the area as that might allow our members to suggest some other solutions? A tape type product or something you could caulk on and smooth out could solve the issue. We have the Grunt 50mm x 10m Flashing Tape, which is a bituminous backed aluminium tape designed to seal around flues. You might also like to consider Sikaflex 11FC, as you'll be able to seal the leak and smooth out the transition at the same time. Make sure all surfaces are really clean before applying either of these products.

I look forward to seeing some images and providing further assistance. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
