Hello everyone, I have laid pavers in backyard. I think these pavers are high porosity. (Please see pictures).
Is it a good idea to apply sealer on these pavers? If yes - what kind of sealer is best of these pavers. i.e. water based or solvent, penetrating etc.
Thanks in advance. Cheers
Congratulations on your first paving job. We're looking forward to seeing a finished photo of the area.
I'm sure @MitchellMc will be happy to personally reply to you when he is back on the site tomorrow, but in the meantime you might find everything you need at this discussion kicked off by @Lolly just last week - Sealer for concrete paving
Hope that helps,
A sealer will certainly help you to care for and maintain the pavers. I'd recommend Berger Jet Dry Stone & Paving Sealer which penetrates the surface creating a seal that protects against dirt becoming embedded, water stains, and makes it much easier to remove mould, moss and lichen.

Please let me know if you need further information or had any questions.
Thanks for reply.
Could anyone please tell what kind of pavers I have? i.e. concreate, stone, sandstone etc? Please see picture in original post..
I got it from a friend and don't really know the material. Thanks for help.
I'd say there is a good chance they are our Brighton Masonry 200 x 200 x 40mm Sand Mypave Paver which would make them concrete. They do not have the look of a natural product like sandstone, they have the appearance of a manufactured concrete paver.
