Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's marvellous to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about levelling your yard for a pool.
Before I make any recommendations, can you please tell us what kind of pool are you installing in your backyard? How big is it and how much water will it hold? Is it above ground or will it be an in-ground pool?

We own a sloping block that slopes downwards towards the back. When we installed an in-ground pool and backyard studio a while back, we raised the height of the back of the yard to level it off with the pool after the pool was installed. This required the use of concrete retaining walls in front of the existing fence. It was a fairly extensive undertaking but we think the work was worthwhile.
I would recommend your first point of call is some professional pool builders to give you a few quotes.
