Any powered wands for Ryobi hand held vacuum R18HVP?

Love this vacuum. However I am wanting to know if any of the powered wands would fit to extend the length of it overall. Thankyou

Re: Ryobi hand held vacuum R18HVP

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @lally. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Ryobi hand vacuums.

I've double-checked with Ryobi, and there are no powered or non-powered wands/extensions for the Ryobi 18V ONE+ Hand Vacuum With Powered Brush Bar. It doesn't share the same attachment method as the Ryobi stick vacuums, so their extensions are incompatible.

If you can let us know some more details on what you wanted to use the powered wand for, perhaps our knowledgeable members might have some clever solutions.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Re: Ryobi hand held vacuum R18HVP

Thanks for your answer. I use the vacuum in our motorhome. Its great for getting the dust out of smaller spaces and nooks and crannies. However when doing the floor I have to stoop which can be painful. I am not very tall so only need it to be 30 to 40 cm longer. Not a biggy just more convenient Thanks

Re: Ryobi hand held vacuum R18HVP

Hi @lally,

It would take a bit of work, but there's a chance that you could potentially extend the nozzle with standard pipe and then use a pipe adaptor to connect the brush head as per below. That would only work if, by chance, the available pipes were of the correct size.

Let me tag @Dave-1 to see if he has any thoughts.

Good Afternoon @lally

I really like @MitchellMc's suggestions for "modding" but not damaging the vacuum

I was just trolling though the manual and Ryobie as well but no easily found information is about 😕

So option two,

Rather then lug around the whole vacuum, take just the long pointy nozzle with you, and vist your local vacuum place (sadly the local ones for me have shut up shop) or have a look here Vacuum Cleaner Long Crevice Tool 28mm-38mm Its with a Online company called https://www.centraloutlet.com.au/ . I dont know what they are like is all. But they certainly sell a lot of adaptors for vacuums.

Maybe also visit one of the Car parts places with your nozzel, they may have extenders for car styled vacuums. Ive just been trolling through a range of accessories (need that inner measurement for sure) but I had a thought of taking that nozzel you have into a salvos or Vincent de paul and seeing if that have some vacumm sticks/nozzels that fit?
