Can you use submersible pumps in a rainwater tank?

I have a rainwater tank used for toilet and laundry. It has an external pump controller and a submersible pump BIanco 800 watts which need replacement. I have been to Bunnings shop and asked around but no one seem to be able to help me. There are submersible pumps in Bunning such as Ozito, Karcher and Ryobi etc. I dont know if this can be used in my rainwater tank. Pls help

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your submersible pump.

It all comes down to compatibility, if your pump has been hardwired to the pump controller it has to be compatible in order for it to work properly. I suggest engaging the services of a plumber and asking them if the either the Ozito 1100W Constant Pressure Submersible Pump or the Ozito 350W Dirty Water Submersible Water Pump is compatible with your controller.

There are other pumps available at the store, but its best to consult a professional before you make any purchase.
