Cleaning Slate Floors

Hi There,

Recently moved to a place with large dark grey slate flooring. I’ve been vacuuming daily as every piece of dust shows up. I have mopped 3 times but when walking around with no shoes the bottoms of our feet still get dirty. How do I clean & maintain them? What products should I use?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about cleaning your slate floors.

In order to clean your slate floor I suggest using the Peerless JAL 1L Deep Clean Slate and Hard Stone Cleaner. This specialized cleaner is ideal for concrete and hardstone surfaces. It effectively removes soap scum, grease, oil and dirt. You can confidently use it on various surfaces such as concrete, slate, granite, marble and travertine surfaces. Please remember that this is a concentrate and must be diluted before use.

Please remember to wear personal protection such as rubber gloves and goggles when mixing the cleaner.
