1. Inspiration: Gathered ideas from design magazines, Pinterest, and colour trend reports. Goodbye boring beige!
2. Planning: Chose a new colour scheme to replace beige before deciding on calming sage green.
3. Preparation: Cleared furniture, protected floors, and cleaned walls.
4. Wall Repairs: Patched holes, smoothed surfaces, and primed walls.
5. Painting: Applied fresh coats of sage green and complementary tones.
6. Timber Panel Selection: Chose modern panels to add warmth and texture.
7. Installation: Measured, cut, and fitted timber panels to feature walls.
8. Finishing Touches: Added some floating timber shelves for texture and interest.
9. Styling: Re-styled the room with updated décor to match the new look.
10. Enjoyment: Stepped back to admire a completely refreshed and personalised space. Still a bit more styling to do but so far we are loving our refreshed home!

Hello @Sprice1
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your entryway and living room refresh project.
What a beautiful transformation, your use of the on-trend hues like calming sage green has really created excellent contrast and the addition of the acoustic panels has given your rooms a nice tactile finish without looking traditionalist. Texture, character and personality are the key words I would use to describe the change in your home. This really shows that you're willing to step out and try something new.
Again, thank you for sharing such a wonderful project.
Eric
Good Afternoon @Sprice1
That is a really nice update, At first I kind of liked the green but when matched up with the vertial timbers and the shelves it really works!
Really worth the effort!
How hard were the vertical slats to install? I almost put them in my foyer but changed my mind, I still might use them elsewhere but we shall see ![]()

Thanks so much for the feedback. The panels were super easy to install - used a circular saw to cut them to length then applied Liquid Nails in the back and stuck them on. A quick job that made a massive impact.
Thanks so much for the great feedback Eric!
