I suggest having a look at this featured project - D.I.Y. hybrid flooring installation by @RAW. The techniques used is very similar when laying down floating flooring systems.

The general steps to a floating flooring system are to make sure the floor is flat and free of defects before starting. The first go in is the underlay then followed by the floating floor itself. Take the time to lay the floor down to see in which direction you should be laying the floor. It's also important to stagger the floor to give it a nice layout.
