How to add moulding to internal doors?

Wanting simple instructions using a saw & mitre box to add moulding 4 boxes to plain internal doors please

Sounds like a terrific project, @MarleyJ_Aus.

 

You're essentially creating four picture frames and attaching them to the door with liquid nails and pin nails. You should find this step-by-step guide helpful: How to make a D.I.Y. picture frame.

 

There is a range of mouldings for you to select from depending on the look you're going for. This Porta 31 x 15mm 2.4m Moulding Pine Panel Mould Clear could look quite nice.

 

It would be remiss of me not to mention that you can pick up a four-panel door for an exceptionally cheap cost. If this suits your needs, then perhaps it would be a more straightforward option. At such a low cost, it would likely be more affordable than the cost of converting an existing plain door.
