Hello, we have an old house with painted smooth concrete sides on the stairs, see photo. We plan on redoing the carpet, but are wondering what is the best product to fill in the large chips that have broken from the sides. Can it then be smoothed as we will also be repainting them.
Thank you any help!
Hi @SusanEC10,
For a D.I.Y. repair, you can use Earl's 600g White MulTfill Ready To Use Filler. It can be applied with a spatula and is easy to sand. Alternatively, once the carpet is removed, you could have a professional (or if you're handy, you could do it yourself) add formwork to the inside edge and pour a repair mortar product behind it to recreate the edge.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
