Am in the process of painting and fixing up various aspects of the outside of my house. A number of the eaves haven't quite been finished off - as in, there isn't a nice strip covering the join between the boards. Wondering what this strip is called and whether it's just wood or is it the eave material? Can you just buy it ready to go?
Hi @kez6,
Traditionally, they are just strips of timber, such as 20 x 4mm 2.4m Square Edged Board Tasmanian Oak. There is also the Brutus 50 x 6mm x 2.4m Building Moulding Cover Trim, which is a PVC moulding.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Great thanks Mitch. And would you generally just nail them in place?
I’d suggest running a bead of Liquid Nails along the joint first @kez6, then press the cover strip into position and nail it in place with clouts. That will keep it secure and help ensure a neat finish.
