Hi, I was given an AEG 58v mower by my parents for Christmas but they lost the receipt and now it's cutting out all the time after a short run. It's not the batteries because they work fine in my AEG line trimmer and blower. With no receipt Bunnings are saying there is no warranty but it's not 12 months old yet. Any ideas as to what to do. AEG want proof of purchase as well for warranty. Any ideas anyone.

I’m really sorry to hear about the trouble you’re having with your AEG 58V mower. I understand how frustrating it must be to have a product cutting out and not be able to get it looked at under warranty because the receipt is missing. The good news is there are several ways we can try to help you track down the receipt so you can access the warranty.
The easiest solution is if the mower was paid for on a card. Our team at the store of purchase can look back through transactions and try to locate it and reprint the receipt. It’s especially helpful if you have an approximate date, such as the week it was purchased. If you can track down the exact transaction on a bank statement, even better, as that makes the process very quick and straightforward. Even without the exact date, our in-store team can search through transactions with an approximate week and the card details, and this is normally successful.
Once the receipt is located, we can proceed with the warranty for your mower. While we do need a receipt to process any warranty claim, the first step is to try and locate it. Do you think your parents might be able to check their bank statement for the purchase, or at least remember approximately when it was bought? With that information, the store managers can look up the transaction and help get the warranty sorted for you.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
