Hello @Debbie4
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your door.
It appears to be MDF as this fibrous pattern usually appears if it has been scratched or it has gotten wet. For a quick repair, I suggest cutting the excess fibrous material with a Craftright 18mm Snap Off Knife. Once you've removed as much of the fibre as you can, sand it down with a 240grit sandpaper. You should now get a semi flat surface, fill it up with Turbo 175ml Builders Bog Flexipack to level the corner back up.
Allow the bog to fully cure before sanding it down to the same level as the door. Wipe the surface clean and paint it to match the finish of the door. Having had a second look at your picture, I would also suggest thinking about repainting your entire door, but if it us currently not a priority, the small patch up job to repair your door should do nicely.
