How to get Ikonic entrance door to lock?

Hi. I have installed the Ikonic entrance door lock to my front door to replace an existing lock. It all lined up perfectly and installed easily but the latch won’t stay in the strike plate - it just swings open even when the ‘locked’ I have gone back over the instructions and can’t see anything I have missed, but I can’t understand what this picture is trying to convey! I have attached pictures of the installed lock for reference. Thanks!

Hello @mandyjayne

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your door lock.

It appears that you've installed the latch in the reverse direction. I propose removing the latch and turning it in the other direction where the slope of the latch faces the striker plate. Once you have it in the other direction it should lock properly.

Here is a handy step-by-step guide: How to change a door knob

Please give it a try and let me know how you go.
