You can certainly discourage birds from walking and making noise on your metal roof, and there are a few products that can help. Stainless steel bird spikes like the Jack 250 x 110 x 70mm Stainless Steel Pest Control Bird Spike are very effective on ledges or ridges where birds like to perch. You might also find repellents such as Multicrop 2L Scat Ready To Use Animal Repellent useful if the activity is happening in specific areas. For a more active deterrent, a Sureguard Scarecrow Motion Activated Water Spray Animal Repellent can help if you can run a water pipe from below. Some people also use visual deterrents like the Jack Pest Deterrent Hawk to make the area less inviting. There are also more bird deterrents on the Bunnings website.
