How to minimise sound transmission through floors?

I’m looking at placing down some floating floors but my body corp has said that the floor needs to be not less than 45 for airborne sound and not more than 62 for impact generated sound. I was looking at placing the ‘Smart Home Products 9.5mm soundboard acoustic laminate planks’ and maybe adding the ‘qep 2mm lxpe acoustic pro underlay’ for extra sound insulation. Is there anyway to figure out what the levels would be for each of these items or how it would be together? Thanks!!

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question in regards to the acoustic rating of the laminate planks.

Here is the link to the acoustic report in regards to the Soundguard Acoustic Laminate. The report is at the bottom of the page under "resources" due to the number of files on show it would be best to go to the site and have a look at each one. Please note that the Soundguard laminate panel already has an underlay attached so it's not necessary to lay down another layer of underlay underneath it. If you are thinking of adding another layer of underlay, I don't advise it as it will make the floor too soft to step on and will create unevenness on the surface.

But just in case you are curious, I've emailed you a copy of the report on the qep 2mm lxpe acoustic pro underlay.
