Hi,
I am looking for guidance and materials required to paint the internal walls of my new build. I am looking for a the usual white color. Any marks on the wall (after painting) should be washable with water. Please guide me.

Hi @sujoy_kb,
To get started, you’ll need a few basics such as painter’s tape, drop sheets, a roller with extension pole, paint tray, brushes for cutting in, and of course, an interior wall paint. Since you’d like something that’s easy to keep clean, I’d recommend going with Dulux Wash & Wear in your preferred white. It’s designed to be highly washable, so you can wipe down marks with just water without damaging the finish.
The process is fairly straightforward: prepare the walls first by filling any gaps, sanding lightly, and wiping away dust. Then cut in around the edges with a brush, and use a roller for the larger areas, working in sections. Apply at least two coats for the best result.
We’ve got handy guides including How to prepare a wall for painting, How to paint a room, and How to paint like a professional, which will step you through the process in more detail.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
